probably French or Belgian circa 1770, with 3in. tapering iron barrel, traces of engraving at breech, top-tang with carved border, side-mounted lock with lozenge pan and unbridled frizzen, walnut full-stock carved around the furniture and with floral apron behind the top-tang, long-spurred bulbous butt-cap, pillar trigger-guard bow and replacement ramrod
